Historic setting for a very modern facility

Having to network and manage 19 packaged AHU’s to create an integrated facility, as well as plan for future expansion of services, made the Sauter product range using BACnet over IP the obvious choice.
 

Located in the historic King’s Dock area of Liverpool, the new Exhibition Centre Liverpool was constructed to join its sister locations, the BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, to create the largest venue facility in Europe.

Exhibition Centre Liverpool has a hall with a height of 18 metres which can be used either as a single exhibition space or sub-divided into three separate halls – so having a flexible BEMS system was essential.

Utilising the EY-Modulo 5 series and the Sauter Vision Centre management suite has provided that flexibility. The system also handles sun shading and, uniquely, rainwater sensors fitted in the gutters to ensure no overflow into the facility.

In the longer term, the Sauter Vision Centre will provide the client with total metering data to facilitate the best utility costs management, whilst ensuring that the building remains environmentally friendly with carbon emissions kept to a minimum.
